NIGEL PURCHASED THE PRESENT STABLES IN 1982 WHEN IT WAS KNOWN AS NUTHOLME STABLES.HE CHANGED THE NAME TO WOODLAND STABLES, WHICH SEEMED MORE APPROPRIATE!

HE BEGAN WITH 10 STABLES AND EXPANDED OVER THE YEARS TO 70 STABLES.THERE ARE 15 ACRES OF TURN OUT PADDOCKS, STARTING STALLS, HORSE WALKER, LUNGING ARENA, SAND TURN OUT PENS, AND A TWO FURLONG ALL WEATHER CIRCUIT.

THE HORSES HAVE THE FACILITY TO USE TWO SETS OF GALLOPS WITHIN HACKING DISTANCE OF THE STABLE.

THESE ARE LANGTON WOLD GALLOPS WHICH HAS A MILE AND A QUARTER AND SIX FURLONG ALL WEATHER SURFACE AND NUMEROUS GRASS GALLOPS AND SCHOOLING FACILITIES .

THERE IS ALSO THE OLD RACECOURSE ADJACENT TO HIGHFIELD WHERE TIM FITZGERALD IS THE LANDLORD. THIS WAS HOME TO THE FIRST EVER RUNNING OF THE FOUR MILE NATIONAL HUNT CHASE , WHICH IS NOW THE FEATURE AMATEUR RACE AT THE CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL.

THERE IS ALSO A LODGE WHERE OWNERS ARE WELCOME TO STAY WHEN THEY WISH TO VIEW THE HORSES.
