Helen and I assisting the vet. I love working with Helen.
I don’t think this photo needs any words!

Well the power nap seems to have worked!
Over the moon to have ridden Atwaar to victory at Chelmsford tonight for Mr Smith.
This was our second successive victory together in November, following our win at Southwell earlier this month.
A big thank you to all the connections for the opportunity to ride another winner.
After a 4 hour drive to Chelmsford, both myself and Atwaar had the same idea, a power nap before the race. Not forgetting Belle of course.
Hope it does some good!
I am definitely feeling the freezing weather after the Tenerife sunshine, and so is Belle. She has a new coat for the cold winter months ahead, so there is no chance of losing her in the dark!
Think I have probably had enough sunshine now!
I am very happy to have a new sponsor, MISS DIVA of York. I will be hoping to pick up some fashion tips and regularly be the best turned out at the races.
I always shop at MISS DIVA and last years Christmas party dress was purchased there.
Being a jockey can be pretty tough on the feet, and they occasionally need some pampering. These little fishes seemed more than happy to help out!
Have been missing the speed of the horses in Teneriffe this week, so tried a bit of Flyfishing today. It’s not what it sounds like. It involves being dragged across the sea very quickly on the back of a boat. Very exhilarating, and I survived!
Not a bad view from the hotel room!
Having a well deserved winter break in Teneriffe for a few days. Loving the sun.
A slight problem when customs found Belle hiding in my suitcase but they were very understanding!
I was over the moon to ride a winner tonight for Mr Smith.
I owe a big thank you to the connections who gave me the opportunity.
The horse really deserved the win.
Very lucky to have the fantastic Jack Berry House on the doorstep.
It does so much to support jockeys, and can be supported by some early Christmas shopping at www.injuredjockeys.co.uk
I have just been taking advantage of the brilliant gym facilities, and managed to dead lift a personal best of 100kg!
Had a very important visitor to the stable today, when Archie Perkins turned up to meet the horse named after him.
Archie is the Grandson of one of his owners, Stewart Perkins. Archie the horse has had a very successful year and is now on his winter holidays.
Archie the human dressed up in some jockey silks and definitely looked the part!
Here I am with one of my favourite 2 year olds Singe Anglais. We won 3 races together this season and he signed off with a very impressive performance in a hot race at York.
He has gone on a winter break today. Helen is taking him to her place where she will look after him, feed him and fatten him up before he comes back bigger and stronger next year.
At least one of us is smiling for the camera!
Here is Belle leading the applause from the Wolverhampton weighing room as we cheer on Hollie Doyle who was riding at Kempton.
Had a nice ride for the boss at Doncaster today, on what must have been the wettest day of the year, before dashing off for a ride at Newcastle.
It was definitely a dash, and we couldn’t even get a seat on the train!
Athollblair Boy was back at Newcastle today and ran another good race in a very competitive sprint, with just over 5 lengths covering all 14 runners at the finish.
He looks in great shape for a few successful return trips this winter!
Well the week started as well as I could have dreamed of, with another win on Our Little Pony at Pontefract this afternoon in conditions she loves!
Fingers crossed the week continues with the same success, really looking forward to climbing back on Athollblair Boy at Newcastle tomorrow.
Kilbaha Lady ran another great race at Newcastle on Friday, only just failing to add to the stables winners this season.
I am back in the saddle tomorrow, looking forward to adding to the success we have already shared on board Our Little Pony at Pontefract. Then its back to Newcastle on Tuesday to partner up with Athollblair Boy, who loves his trips up to Newcastle and has won there before.
Could be a great week ahead!
A very enjoyable couple of days at York’s final meeting of the year, fortunate enough to have a few rides.
Here I am with the boss and owner John Raybould discussing the great run of Singe Anglais. We couldn’t make it 4 for the season but another great run to be a fast finishing 5th!
Really looking forward to a couple of rides at York tomorrow. I feel so fortunate to have these fantastic opportunities.
Hoping for more success on board Singe Anglais. We have already won together 3 times this season, it would be fantastic to make it four.
Then Violette Szabo, a lovely filly named after a real life war time heroine.
