This is our Zoffany x Tingleo yearling in the pen this morning. He is the half-brother to Piastrella, who I was lucky enough to win on twice at Beverley this year.
Snow.
Well it's quite a fresh one this morning at -2 , but we are all wrapped up and getting the horses out, we all love a bit of snow really.
World Horse Appreciation Day
Today is World Horse Appreciation Day. Here are some of my favourites, past and present: Ginger Jam, Imperium Blue, Normandy Barriere, Camerily Joe, Seen The Lyte, My Havana, Athollblair Boy and Cliff.
Yearling time!
As the flat season comes to an end, it doesn’t mean we get the chance to relax. It’s now yearling time! This is me leaning over one of our yearlings for the first time and he took everything in his stride.
Roundhay Park wins at Chester.
What a horse! He never fails to amaze me! Not only does he take me to all the fancy places but he takes me into the winners enclosure too!
A big thank you to connections, Mr. Tinkler and to Helen, who does all the hard work with him at home and had him spot on for today!
Lucky Lucky Lucky.
It won’t be long until this fella lives up to his name! He gave me a great ride at Beverley last time out and I can’t wait to sit on him again. He has definitely changed a lot since he was a foal but he is still the same cheeky chappy!
Piastrella wins at Beverley
I am absolutely delighted to have ridden another winner on Piastrella. She jumped well with me from the gates, we had an ideal position throughout the race and she was incredibly brave and game in the finish. I am incredibly grateful to connections for letting me keep the ride and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this filly!
Woodlands Charm
I love this photo of 2 year old Kodiac filly, Woodlands Charm and I. Taken last week, she’s just having a little bite of grass after a piece of work, and we’re discussing our game plan ahead of our race at Thirsk tomorrow!
Ginger Jam wins again!
My superstar, Ginger Jam and I won at Bath yesterday - which is our second win at the course this year. I’m running out of words to describe how special this horse it to me - he always tries his heart out for me. Thank you, as ever, to Mr Davidson for the ride!
A Different Day Out...
A few weeks ago, some friends and a few of the Tinkler team had a different racing day out - go karting! As a team, we’re all so competitive - which I love! Unfortunately, I finished third - Aiden won, I’m not sure I’ll ever hear the end of it…..
Imperium Blue
I wanted to share this picture of me and my boy Blue - he’s so special to me, and I love riding him!
Newyorkstateofmind
I was delighted to ride a winner for Mr William Muir and Mr John Grassick at Wolverhampton earlier this week. Newyorkstateofmind travelled so well throughout the race, I really enjoyed riding him. I’m so grateful for the ride and all of the opportunities!
Strangerontheshore!
Super Strangerontheshore really deserved her win at Carlisle earlier this week! (Monday 2nd August). I’m absolutely delighted for owner and breeder Pam Cockerill - it was also her wedding anniversary, so a special day all around!
Double at Redcar!
Ginger Jam wins!
Ginger Jam strikes again, this time at Bath! This is our 5th win together, he’s a horse that means an awful lot to me!
Six rides at Redcar!
I was lucky enough to have 6 rides in 1 day at Redcar earlier this week (1st June), I’m so grateful to have these opportunities! I love this photo of all of my silks for the day lined up and ready to go.
Sharrabang wins at Carlisle!
Sharrabang showing how easily he can do it …. when he wants to!
Mansfield at Musselburgh
A great run from Mansfield today to finished a close second at Musselburgh Racecourse. Trained by Stella Barclay, he tried his heart out for me - fingers crossed we’re one closer next time!
Peachy Carnehan
I was really pleased to win for the second time this week for Mick Mullineaux today at Wolverhampton! This beautiful, gutsy horse Peachy Carnehan travelled well throughout, and won comfortably in the end by 2 lengths!
