Etienne Gerard and Normandie Barriere (Norman) were bought in France together, and were best friends from then on. They went into training together, and cantered and galloped every morning together.

They are both happily retired now, Etienne Gerard with Amy (Kim and Nigel’s daughter), and Norman is with Helen (who has worked with us for over 20 years!). It was lovely to see them catch up last weekend at a show at The National Horseracing College in Doncaster - and even lovelier to see that they still recognise each other!!
