Maybe Even Never had the second run of his career yesterday, after winning on debut. The gelded son of Dream Ahead was at Ripon this time, and carrying a 7lb penalty for his previous success.
He was ridden again by Phil Dennis, and travelled very well throughout the race (despite being slow out of the stalls), and it came down to two horses nearing the finish who were neck and neck. After a very tight finish, the judges called a dead heat with Maybe Even Never and Sunday Justice being 5 lengths clear of the rest of the field!
